While I was feeding Abbott Elsie got thirsty. She carried a gallon jug of water from the pantry, grunting the whole way.

We spent a beautiful Saturday having a great lunch at Marination Makai and a little walk at Alki.

Enjoying am evening walk at the police academy with our cousins. It is so nice living a couple blocks from them.

We went to our local feed store to buy duck food. Elsie liked seeing the chickens and playing with the doll house.

We had to replace our water main and Elsie loved watching the plumber work in the yard.

Our friend Lily invited us over for a swimming play date. Elsie had a last and enjoyed the fact that the pools were filled with warm water.

While our cousins from California were in town we spent a day over on Bainbridge Island. They had fun playing at the children’s museum and having a picnic lunch.

We spent the morning at Lincoln Park and Elsie didn’t want to take a picture with us, so we took one without her.

Elsie loves helping me in the kitchen. This time it was adding the veggies in our salad.

We ventured up to North Seattle to visit Sophie and Ben and play at their neighborhood park. Elsie had a wonderful time in the swings and Sophie loved pushing her.

Every night Abbott and I get to snuggle in bed while Josh is putting Elsie to sleep. I love having this alone time with Abbott.

Congratulations to Jay and Dorie! Their wedding was fabulous and it is nice to officially have another sister in the family. Sadly we couldn’t party as hard or stay as late as we wanted to, but we all had a great time.

We were able to spend the afternoon at the Wild Strawberry Festival in Burien. Elsie really enjoyed doing the blow up slide and obstacle course.

Elsie and I am so excited story time started up again. We always have a great time and it allows us to get out if the house for a bit.

As I was getting ready I looked out of the bathroom to find this happening on the bed. I don’t think I could have captured a better moment of the two of them. Elsie just has so much love for her brother.

Abbott loves to be snuggled. He does not like being set down so any afternoons are spent holding him.

We were lucky enough to be invited to the beach with our friends Audrey, Ellie, and Evie. Time was spent feeding the ducks, playing on the playground, and exploring the beach.

Lunch with the cousins is always chaotic. I sometimes wonder if people cringe when we walk into a restaurant.

We tried out a new to is Greek restaurant in Burien. Brother bear was quiet and sister was crawling all over the floor. At least one child was acting appropriately.

Abbott made his inaugural trip to Jkea with Papa and Grandma. Elsie loved the hot dog and chips and happily sat in her stroller. A win for everyone.

Elsie loves her brother so much. Every morning when we wake up she asks to hold him before he is allowed to eat.

Both kids were asleep at the same time. Sadly this only lasted 5 minutes before Abbott woke up and was hungry.

We took our first outing to Target as a family. Elsie insisted on taking her baby “Abbott” with us.

We were able to attend Owen’s first birthday party. It was so cute and Julie did a great job putting it together. Abbott got to meet Annika for the first time. They were born 2 days apart.

Elsie spent all of Tuesday night coughing and wake in our bed, with brothers arrival all day we wanted to get it checked out to make sure she was healthy. Elsie loves going to the doctor’s office but really doesn’t like getting her ears checked. This visit was no exception. For days after she kept saying “owie ears”. Luckily she checked out just fine.

With the nicer weather here we like going for walks after dinner. On this particular night we went to the marina for a walk and to feed the ducks.

Elsie’s nasty cough was still around and it was a fight to get her to nap. Since she was still coughing pretty bad I spent nap time in the car.

When Elsie woke up from her nap she requested a trip to the beach and the park. Since it was high tide I decided we would go to the park and ride our bike. She was so excited she wouldn’t take off her helmet while we played or drove home.

We are officially trying to get this baby out so yesterday I invited Julie and Owen out for a walk and picnic lunch at the beach. We love spending time with them.

Firefighter story time at the library was a blast. Elsie was talking about it for days.

Josh had to work on this Saturday so we spent the morning with Nama shopping for plants and planting our vegetable garden. Elsie had to do it in her tutu.

For Mother’s Day we spent time as a family at the zoo. I am so lucky this crazy girl made me a mom.

Elsie and I went on a little Seattle adventure after story time. We picked daddy up for lunch at Dick’s Drive-In and snuck in a quick visit to the aquarium. It is so nice Josh is able to take long lunch breaks like this and I know we will not be able to do spontaneous things like this when the new baby comes.

We have had some really beautiful days this spring, but with the sun has come the heat. Elsie and I decided to escape the heat by going to get a smoothie. It was just what we needed.

We had spent all morning in the sun so we took advantage of the shade in the afternoon. Elsie loves playing in the backyard and blowing bubbles.

The hot weather called for the first pool party of the year. Braxas had us over to his house and Elsie had a blast. Of course all of the kids were enjoying the snacks the most.

I have been watching my niece and nephew every other Friday it seems and Elsie loves the time with baby “Viah.” I think in this picture she was trying to get her to dance.

Elsie spent the morning with Josh at The Home Depot. She made me a beautiful planter for mother’s day.

On Sunday we had a family fun day. We took Elsie to Wiggle Works in Bellevue for the first time. She had a blast.

While Elsie and I were making salsa she looked into the pantry and said “neigh horsey.” She had noticed my duster and thought it was a stick horse to ride. She proceeded to ride it around the house for the rest of the afternoon.

Elsie and I were relaxing on the couch and drinking our water. She had already spilled the water a couple of times so she decided it would be best to keep a towel wrapped around it. She is so silly!

I was able to get away for a few minutes and pamper myself with a pedicure. It felt soooooo good.

I woke up in the middle if the night and looked in on Elsie. This is how I found her. I love having a video monitor in her room.

While doing laundry Elsie found a bassinet sheet. She decided we needed to hide in it. We had a lot of fun playing in the sheet.

My mom and sisters threw me a great baby shower for baby boy. He is one spoiled little guy already.

Josh had to work late so we took advantage of the nice evening and planted our front planter. Elsie loved it.

We continued to enjoy the nice weather with Julie and Owen at the zoo. The kids loved looking at the animals and we enjoyed a picnic lunch with a very curious peacock.
